My Sermon from Fine Arts

     Today I will talk the coming times and how it will effect the world, lets skip through the first few chapter of Revelation to when Hades arrives, Revelation 6:8 "And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And it's rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth"

     So now it's hell on earth with the Seaver plagues and the three beasts appearing uttering blasphemous words and doing miracles like make fire fall from heaven to fool people of the earth and making them worship the first beast. And all the believers in Christ were taken to heaven for Seven years before the defeat of Lucifer. And once he is defeated the first and second beast were thrown into the lake of fire to burn for all of eternity, where devil will be trapped in after one thousand years of being contained. 

     Now most of you are thinking "why are you telling me this? I know the story I'm already freaked out enough as it is" I'm telling you this story to show that even in your darkest days God will help and save you. Now I leave you off with the last verse of the bible Revelation 22:21"The grace of The Lord Jesus be with all Amen."

The Pros and Cons of Cable TV

     Most of the people in America have cable or satellite TV, which has it's upsides,but it also has a lot of down sides.  Now most of Americans reading this probably couldn't think of life without cable.  Well my family doesn't have cable anymore,and I know some others who don't.

     But lets start of with the pros.  Pro number 1 is more variety".  Yes there are more channels,but lets face it that just means that there is more bad shows to watch.  I know there are some good channels out there but there are even more shows that are complete garbage for the spirit.

     Pro number 2 is "all the wholesome shows".  You see that was a trick question.The max of wholesome shows on a modern channel is one or two.  The only channels that have more are retro or a channel where they talk about the Bible(in a good way),but even then there are shows that I avoid.  Unfortunately that's all the pro's I could think of.  

     Now on to cons.  Con number one 1 is the trashy shows can be like a bomb destroying half your brain cells.  Yeah,  I think that sums it up.  Con number 2 is way too much to pay.  If you are paying hundred dollars a month for twenty shows out of 999 channels,all I have to say to you is...why?  !There is such a thing as Netflix!  Con number 3 is too much application added.  By that I mean all the buttons that do something strange like when your about to press the volume button and accidentally hit the button next to it and you hear a loud noise and run outside, "How did the garage?!"

    Well I'm gonna end this now.  For the kids of the parents who saw this and said, "Wow! That's a good idea.", please don't maul me.   Okay.  I was you once but after awhile, you turn on Netflix, sit down and never look back.  I hope you enjoyed reading this.  Thank you.

The Art of Respect

     Hello everyone.  Today, we are going to talk about respect.  What do you think of when you hear respect?  I think of saying or doing something for a great figure in your life such as your father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, etc.

    If you are in a leadership position such as a higher belt in a martial art or an assistant leader in Royal Rangers or Boy Scouts, some times your friends or other students may not be as respectful as they should be.  They may challenge or ignore you.  The best way is to sit down and remind them that you are in a leadership position.  If that doesn not work, ask an adult leader to sit down and talk to the student.  The lesson here is "Give respect to get it."

Importance of Trust

     Sadly nowadays people don't trust each other when they should.  Now I'm not saying go out and hug everyone but be more nice and have faith.  Alot of people think Adam was mumbling this after being banished from the garden.   

     "Oh, we just had to make our resolution 'trust more people' instead of eat less fruit."  They think the moral of Genesis is trust no one,when its really be careful who you trust.  Also we brought sin into the world along with hate, greed, distrust and death.So please just be aware of where your at and who you're with but don't hate everyone on one misjudging thought that they could be a criminal.

The Importance of Balance

    Okay a lot of people have balance in everything, so it inspired this article.  I am going to use an action movie reference.  Okay, so there's a bus on a spike and it is tilting.   Your goal is to get to the middle as fast as possible but there's that one person that doesn't follow the rule and tilts the bus, which makes it harder to get to the middle.  There is a fine line between legalistic and trying to please God.  

     1) "Oh, your going to the movies? Sinner!"  This is obviously legalistic. "Hey, I heard that movie has blood, gore and bad language.  Do you think you should be watching that?"  Now at this point, your trying to save your fellow brother but they may call you nosey or legalistic.   

     2) What! You're wearing a tank top? Sinner!" instead of "Ohhhh, um, aren't you dressed a little to uh (moment when trying to say something without getting slapped) less?"  This is pointed at some girls. (Because if guys wear short shorts, its their embarrassment) .

    3) "You said heck!sinner!"  Okay this is legalistic but think about what you say and if you curse do listen to yourself?!  I mean if their was an automatic censer button on those people it would be like listening to a blank disc "so I was like <*{.!*~?'€*|,¥*|?¥¥' and oh you }*,?#>£},€*<?!¥%~~>%<?"  However, if someone curses in church find the courage and ask him to stop.  I'm not saying get in a fight but don't just stand by.

Difference Between Martial Arts and Self-Defense

    One of the biggest differences between martial arts and self-defense is its message.in martial arts you try to be able to fight anyone.  In self-defense, the ideal is to just escape.  Either way you learn good techniques.
